Jamison's Halloween

This was the first year of Halloween in the new house. We got our pumpkins a bit early this year. I think the cold early in the month made us a bit anxious or something.

We went out to Brunch one Sunday with the Tuschner's and ended up getting a few pumpkins on the way home. Jamsion had a ball picking out pumpkins carving them up with his Nana and Grandad. I still have not figured a way to spell it the way Jamison says it.

Slide show of pumpkin picking and carving.

On Halloween Night we went Tric-or-Treating with Bella and Amara. It was a bit chilly but it was fun. Oh earlier in the day Jamison met Nay-Nay at the MOA (Mall of America) for lunch at Rainforest Cafe. Jamison wore his costume to lunch.

Summer Come and Gone

Well Fall has laid it's claim upon us again, school has started up, H1N1 is making a return and I have not posted since Hawaii. That is sad!!! Well I'm home with a torn up shoulder so I figured I can spend some time catching up. Our last post only gave a snippet of our trip so I guess I'll start there.....

Day 2: Karen and Jamison got up bright and early....wait a minute back that up. Jamison woke up at 4am thinking he was back at home and it was 9am. He would not go back to sleep, we let him into the bed with us thinking that would get him back to sleep. I wonder why that didn't work. Jamison tossed and turned and rolled over us until 6am.

Jamison and Karen went down to the lagoon to feed the fish. I went back to bed. Jamison had a good time feeding the fish. Not sure if he saw the fish in the water, but he understood the feeding part!!

I did get up and meet them at the lagoon later.
I felt like I had a hang over. When I got there
Jamison was soaked. He had sat down in the
water ready to play. We went back to our lagoon,
had breakfast on the beach and decided to hang
out and swim at the pool and beach.

The rest of the day was spent at the
pool and just hangin' out, oh and
trying to adjust to the time and lack
of sleep.

The next day we decided to drive up to the North Shore
and see what we could get into. Look what we found!! The
best shrimp truck on the island, Giovanni's.
It is soooooooooo good.

Jamison fell asleep on the drive up. He was not sure what
was going on when we stopped.

Jamison giving Dad a hug.
I think he was trying ti sneak
up on my food.

We continued up around the North Shore just checkin
it out and looking for signs of the approaching Hurricane.
As we were driving we notices a group of people looking
down in the water near the beach. We decided to jump
out and see what we could sea..I mean see.
A Turtle!!

Jamison was so excited.
He kept saying "My Turtle..My Turtle".

It was pretty amazing to see the
sea turtles up close. There were at
least 5 of them swimming around
eating the sea weed off the rocks.

There were people on the beach to
watch over the turtles and to answer
questions from tourists.

I was told that the big ones were out on
the reef 40 - 50 yards out.
"My Turtle"

Looking for more turtles.

We continued around the North Shore for the rest of the day. Jamison was knocked out, the jeep rocked him to sleep every time we got in it. Got stuck in traffic for a while but it's all good...it's Hawaii. We just hang out that night we were all tired.

To be continued.....

Aloha from Hawaii

Well out trip has come and gone but it was an excellent trip, just the three of us. It seems like only yesterday we were being dropped off at the airport......

Jamison was excited about getting on the airplane. We looked a mess curbside with two suitcases, a car seat, two carry on bags and a small Diego back back on wheels for Jamison. We pulled and pushed our way through the check in line for 40 minutes, luckily Jamison was in his usual good mood and flirting with any woman that would look his way. Checking in was easy and security was semi flawless. The "Man" didn't like the milk boxes in our carry on that we needed for Jamison. They took them out and open them all and took a sip, ok maybe not. But they did use some sniffing machine to check it out. Our next stop was McDonald's for something to eat cuz you know how good that airplane food is. Jamison wanted "Fwench Fwies" and Chicken Nuggies. He settled for fruit, hashbrowns and bacon (he loves bacon for some reason). We made our way to the gate and Karen tricked Jamison into walking on the "Magic Sidewalk" to burn some of his energy. We boarded the plane shortly after that and Jamison turned on his charm talking to all the ladies. Too bad he couldn't charm us up to first class!!

Our 8 hour flight wasn't too bad I guess. Karen had her carry on loaded with snacks, prizes (fruit snacks), books, puzzles, diapers, etc, etc to keep Jamison occupied. He got a little restless a few times so we walked a few laps around the plane talking to anyone who would look his way. He got a little fussy when he was trying to get comfy on our laps trying to get some sleep. We landed around 3pm, got all our bags gathered up and went out to find the rental car shuttle. Jamison started calling for the buses as soon as we got to the sidewalk. He got real excited when one stopped in front of us and we got on. He started calling it "Jamison's Bus"...I'm glad he doesn't know about the short buses yet, but I'm sure he'll learn soon enough. lol
We got our car loaded it up and set off to the hotel to see Nana, G'an-Dad, and Uncle Omawr.

We all got to hang out in the suite for a couple of hours before they all had to go catch their plane back home. Jamison had a great time running from Omar and hangin out. He started calling the Marriott "G'an-Dad's house". I think we walked around a little bit before crashing out in the room. It was 10pm our bodies thought...we were TIRED!!!!

Come back soon for the next chapter.

Aloha!!!!

Coming soon!!!
