Spring Forward and Try To Catch Up

Thank goodness for Caribou giving me an extra shot of espresso in my mocha today. The correct term, for all you coffee snobs out there, is called Mooseing it, get it Caribou....Moose? Anyway, I got me extra shot!! I think that makes a total of 4 shots of espresso, but I could be wrong. I bet my Sister-in-law knows exactly how many shot's are in a Moosed Large Mocha! Once when I had to go to Valley Fair with a bunch of 8th grade students, I got a Mocha with 5 shots in it. I think the lady at the counter told be the record was 7 shots. I drank that baby down with hopes that the day would sail by. I was more hyper than the students, and they were scared. I guess I was successful 'till it all wore off.

Back to Caribou and the reason for the post. Caribou is running a promo to get everyone to their stores and blaming it on DST. No all you Greeks that is not what you think. I'm kinda confused on this DST thing. When did the dates change in order to change the clocks? I didn't get a vote. I didn't get a say so. Who makes these changes? This is a Good Question for WCCO! Better yet I'm gonna direct it to some of my friends who Blog out there.

Lets start with this newbie here. I bet he doesn't know, he's a teacher after all. We know they make up answers. What about this place here? Naw...they are too enthralled with the boy's hockey tournament. Let's try here. Nope...nobody is home by the looks of that blog. One post!! That's all you got? Let's see if this short bus rider will give us an answer? Here This guy is as random as they come, but he makes some good points. I'll see who responds first, maybe I'll share some of my bacon with the one with the best answer.

Now this DST junk. Some states do it and others don't. Why not? Why are they exempt? Does that screw up their television schedule? Do all of sudden they catch up with the rest of the states in that time zone and yell out "We're Baaaack". I've got mixed reactions to the whole save time, give up time biz. For one, I'll be glad that Newton is no longer getting up at 5 am to say that it's 6am and it's time to eat. He never turned his clock back. And he does it every morning like, excuse my pun, clockwork!!! lol...I'm funny to me.

It will be very interesting to see how Jamison adjusts to waking up an hour earlier. I doubt it will phase him. I'm kinda liking the fact that it's light out at 7 pm.

Did you catch the nasty diaper/dog story on the Lamberty Blog. Good times. I wish I could say that Rugby hasn't done that.

I was in Indiana one year at DST time. It was so wierd because some TV stations adjusted thier clocks but others didn't. Very confusing. We just stayed till the bar closed.

Oh, and I don't make things up. Everything that teach is fact that can be backed up somewhere on the internet.

This article explains the whole thing for you, I guess this daylight savings thing is to save energy, but that would mean light need to be turned off, T.V.s Off and no March Madness. I don't think so.
